Thomas Varghese is a seasoned aviation professional with over 21 years of experience as a trainer primarily with Emirates Airline. Throughout his career, Thomas has made significant contributions to various areas including Load Control, Ramp Operations, Dangerous Goods.
Acceptance, and Cargo. His extensive knowledge and practical experience have earned him recognition as an IATA Accredited Trainer particularly in the domain of Dangerous Goods.
One of Thomas’s notable achievements is the independent design of a color-coded, user-friendly Load Plan and Load Sheet for the Airbus 310 Freighter at Emirates, which was adopted as the official operational document of Emirates. He also played a pivotal role in redesigning the training methodology for the A380, addressing the complexities of its CG Centered Fuelling system. His innovative approach ensured a seamless transition for Load Controllers, enabling them to operate efficiently within this new framework.
In addition to his work with the A380, Thomas developed the "Airside Load Management" program, which became a groundbreaking module in the Ground Operations arena. This program was the first to be chosen for E-Learning, and it now serves as the gateway to subsequent Ground Operations courses. His contributions also extend to enhancing operational procedures, such as suggesting a new formula for the Non-Standard Fuelling of the A310 Freighter, which was integrated into official training and operational documents.
Thomas Varghese graduated in Mathematics with Physics and Chemistry as subsidiaries from Saint Berchman’s College, affiliated with Kerala University.
